The Messaging Administrator will troubleshoot, monitor, and maintain Exchange, Outlook, Jabber, backup solutions including Avamar.

  • Provide a timely response to incidents and service requests received in ticketing system adhering to established performance metrics/service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Focus on system monitoring for sustained periods, actively mitigating threats to service availability.
  • Follow SOPs and guidelines and provide inputs for improvement.
  • Provide Incident resolution for systems errors related to email, instant messaging, and backup solutions.
  • Manage major incidents by reporting and escalating according to documented guidelines.
  • Document and report all service interruptions.
  • Reply to all communications related to email, instant messaging, and backup systems errors in a timely manner.


  • A minimum of 5 years of IT enterprise support experience,
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience supporting Microsoft Exchange in an enterprise environment.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with Active Directory
  • System Administration experience on Microsoft Exchange Servers
  • Experience with Outlook 2013 / 2016 / Outlook Web Access
  • Working knowledge of Exchange Admin Center and Exchange Toolbox
  • Experience with PowerShell cmdlets on all modules (Exchange/AD/O365)
  • Experience administering mailboxes and user accounts
  • Experience troubleshooting to resolve mail delivery issues
  • Experience writing and maintaining messaging documentation (i.e. procedures, processes, standards, and knowledge articles for IT Support)
  • Customer Service oriented and ability to communicate effectively with end-users as well as teammates
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills

Nice to have:

  • Powershell Scripting Experience
  • Proofpoint (or edge SPAM filter) experience
